Ochatbot gives many customization options for the user to chose from. Let's cover what each option does.
Description
This is a brief description of the chatbot and what it does. It is not required but nice to have.
Window Title
This is what actually appears at the top of the chatbot window. By default this will be the name of the chatbot, but you can change it here.
Placeholder Text
This is what appears in the user's text box before they type anything. The default is Type Here... as seen below.
Display Message Time
This option will add the date and time of messages sent by Ochatbot and the user. You can change the format of the date and time using the dropdown menu.
Window Background Color
This option changes the background color of the Ochatbot window.
Header Background Color
This changes the color of the top of the Ochatbot window, behind the windows title.
Header Text Color
This changes the actual color of the text within the header.
User Message Background Color
This is the color behind the sent messages by the user to Ochatbot.
User Message Text Color
This option changes the color of text in sent messages to Ochatbot.
Chatbot Message Background Color
This changes the color behind Ochatbot's responses.
Chatbot Message Text Color
Here you can change the color of the text that Ochatbot uses to respond.
Button Color
This will change the color of buttons on Ochatbot.
Button Text Color
Changes the color of text within buttons.
Input Background Color
This will change the color behind the user's text input field.
Input Text Color
Here you can change what color the text is when the user types.
Floating Bubble Color
If you upload a custom icon, this option will change the color behind your icon.
Icon
This option is only available for our Plus and Pro customers. It lets you upload a custom icon to further customize your bot. To upload your own icon, click Select local file, select your icon, then press Upload local file.
Desktop Window Height
This changes the height of the chatbot when viewed on a desktop computer. This value will be in pixels. To learn more about sizing with pixels, see ___________.
Desktop Window Width
This changes the width of the chatbot when viewed on a desktop computer. This value will be in pixels. To learn more about sizing with pixels, see ___________.
Mobile Window Height
This changes the height of the chatbot when viewed on a mobile device, such as a phone. This value will be in pixels. To learn more about sizing with pixels, see ___________.
Mobile Window Width
This changes the width of the chatbot when viewed on a mobile device, such as a phone. This value will be in pixels. To learn more about sizing with pixels, see ___________.
Video Attachment Height
This will change how tall video attachments are when displayed in Ochatbot.
Desktop Floating Bubble Location
Here you can change where the icon is located on a desktop or laptop. This will also change where the bot's window appears.
Move Widget Up
This will move both the icon and Ochatbot's window up on a desktop or laptop. Use this if the placement looks wrong
Move Widget Down
This will move both the icon and Ochatbot's window down on a desktop or laptop. Use this if the placement looks wrong
Mobile Floating Bubble Location
Here you can change where the icon is located on mobile devices. This will also change where the bot's window appears.
Move Widget Up (mobile)
This will move both the icon and Ochatbot's window up on mobile devices. Use this if the placement on phones looks wrong
Move Widget Down (mobile)
This will move both the icon and Ochatbot's window down on mobile devices. Use this if the placement on phones looks wrong
Typing Indicator
This will toggle three pulsating dots while the chatbot is "thinking" or taking time to respond. This helps users understand the bot is not stuck and can give the illusion that a human is typing.
Facebook Messenger Integration- This feature is not yet implemented, but it will be soon.
Variables
Here you can create, delete, and modify variables to easily store/recall information. To learn more, see Variables.
